Location and Population - Chattanooga, a city of 152,466, is located in a valley in Southeastern Tennessee between the Appalachian and the Cumberland mountain ranges. The city is situated along the Tennessee River, one of the great river systems in the United Sates, and offers easy access to Interstate Highways 75, 24, and 59. The metropolitan statistical area population is 433,210.
