GE Profile Ventless Combo Wash/Dryer

Last year we did a major remodel on a 140 year old home that really didn’t have a traditional Laundry Room. The small space was off of the Kitchen and we felt there was a better use of that space so where do we put the Washer & Dryer? We decided to go with a new set up that GE had introduced that was similar to units that we had seen in Europe on vacations before. This was the GE Profile Ventless Heat Pump Combo Washer & Dryer. We ended up using two units. We put one in a closet in a Guest Bedroom and one in the Master Closet.

The largest advantage to these units is that dont require a dedicated vent. Yes that is right, these units do not need to be vented outside. Now there is a little more maintenance because of that but not much. The great thing is you can start a load and not worry about forgetting to move the wet clothes into the Dryer but at the same time if you want to run the Washer and not have the Dryer start you can. Another one of the features that we really like about this unit is that it holds 50 Ounces of liquid detergent at a time so you are adding detergent at every wash but you can bypass this function if needed for a special detergent.

We have since recommended these to dozens of clients that are looking to add a Washer/Dryer into a closet or a small space or even on the interior of a condo or home where getting a vent to may be a little hard or impossible.
