Christmas Window Contest
Every year the Signal Mountian Office of Real Estate Partners hosts a Signal Mountain wide Christmas window decorating contest. We have to set the example so we do our windows at the office as well. If you are ever on Signal this time of the year and are looking for us we are behind the Abominable Snowman usually. This is always a fun and friendly competition and it is fun to see the different companies compete and to watch everyone drive through the mountain to vote on the best window.

GE Profile Ventless Combo Wash/Dryer
Last year we did a major remodel on a 140 year old home that really didn’t have a traditional Laundry Room. The small space was off of the Kitchen and we felt there was a better use of that space so where do we put the Washer & Dryer? We decided to go with a new set up that GE had introduced that was similar to units that we had seen in Europe on vacations before. This was the GE Profile Ventless Heat Pump Combo Washer & Dryer. We ended up using two units. We put one in a closet in a Guest Bedroom and one in the Master Closet.

Some of the most asked questions by FHA Buyers
People considering FHA mortgages often have several key questions about eligibility and requirements. One of the most common is about the minimum credit score needed, which is at least 580 for a 3.5% down payment, or 500 if you can put down 10%. Many people also mistakenly believe FHA loans are only for first-time buyers, but anyone who meets the basic criteria can use them, regardless of whether they've owned a home before. Another frequent question is whether you can earn to much for an FHA loan, but there are actually no income limits on single-family FHA loans.

Organizations like Wreaths Across America and Wreaths Across Chattanooga We return this June to place American flags at each grave. veterans and family members are interred at Chattanooga National Cemetery, with figures around 64,500 noted in 2023, though older estimates mention over 50,000 burials from the Civil War era onward, including many Civil War soldiers and later service members from all major conflicts, with capacity projected to run out soon.

HGTV Mountain Life
We were recently featured on HGTV Mountain Life. We had some clients relocate from Texas to Signal Mountain. After they closed on their new home we were contacted by the production company asking if they would be interested in being the stars in one of the episodes, I spent several years in TV production so if was a little terrifying to be on the other side of the camera for once but it was a lot of fun.
2025 Grateful Gobbler
Every year at 8:00am on Thanksgiving Day over 6,000 people converge on Coolidge Park to attend the annual Grateful Gobbler. The close down Market Street and you start in Coolidge Park then walk across the Market Street Bridge down to MLK and back. It is a fairly flat and easy and casual walk. Yes there are runners and they finish before most of us are out of the park. As they say you can run, walk or stroll this run. You will see people dressed up and some will even dress up their dogs. there are tons of kids in strollers and wagons and when we started attending this run our kids were in wagons and strollers too.
What Was Coolidge Park Before It Was A Park?
Before it became the public green-space known today, the site of Coolidge Park in Chattanooga had a very different identity and purpose. Up through the late 20th century, this waterfront parcel was occupied by a military facility — it was the location of a U.S. Naval‑Marine Reserve training station.
Beyond its military use, the broader North Shore riverfront area was generally under-utilized and even neglected: there were no major public amenities, few recreational facilities, and little reason for people to congregate along the water.
Bridgestone and Lamborghini on Signal Mountian
A few months ago we got a call from a production company to use a clubhouse that we have as a staging area for a national Bridgestone Tire commercial. The road part of the commercial was shot on Roberts Mill Road on Signal Mountain. The commercial is below and the Roberts Mill parts are very quick. There was not a lot of notice given to the residence that the road would be closed so some were upset but at the same time if was cool to watch them at work. Signal Mountain is a sleepy little town for the most part so not sure how the scouts found this hidden road but good for them.

End Of An Era
This week was our annual National Association Of REALTORS conference in Houston, Texas. It was a great week of work and networking. The conclusion of every conference is our director's meeting. This trip was no different but for me it is my last meeting as a national director for awhile. It has been a true honor and a ball to represent not only all of our NAR members but also help protect home buyers and home sellers. The real estate industry and the National Association of Realtors has undone a lot of change since I first became a director and I was glad that I got to be a very small part of that.
A Dog’s Hideaway
Dogs have been a part of our families for along time. In todays new construction homes they are starting to get the spaces that they deserve. Over the past 4-5 years we have been seeing more and more areas of the home that are designed specifically for our four legged family members. On a recent tour of a few high end homes we say some very thought through designs including Pot fillers used for filling water bowls. Special areas for their beds and also more and more dog bath areas.

New Company Photos
The Old Library Building, commonly known as the Carnegie Building, is a historic landmark located at 200 E. 8th Street at the corner of Georgia Avenue in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. Funded by a $50,000 donation from philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, it was constructed specifically to serve as the city’s public library. Work began around 1903, the cornerstone was laid on April 15, 1904, and the library officially opened to the public on July 17, 1905. Designed in the Classical or Neoclassical Revival style—sometimes described as Beaux-Arts Classical—the building is widely attributed to prominent local architect Reuben Harrison Hunt, though this attribution remains somewhat debated. Built with a raised stone basement and upper floors of marble, it features grand columns flanking the main entrance and finely detailed classical ornamentation.
Radon In Tennessee
As more and more people move into Tennessee from all over the country we are seeing more and more Radon testing in Chattanooga. Signal Mountain Playhouse
The Signal Mountain Playhouse was started in 1972 and ever since it has been a summer must do on Signal Mountian. They do both a Summer play at the outside theater and a Winter play at a local community center. This past summer we took the family to see the production of The Wizard Of Oz. It can be a little confusing for people that have never been as to how it works.
