The Old Library Building, commonly known as the Carnegie Building, is a historic landmark located at 200 E. 8th Street at the corner of Georgia Avenue in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. Funded by a $50,000 donation from philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, it was constructed specifically to serve as the city’s public library. Work began around 1903, the cornerstone was laid on April 15, 1904, and the library officially opened to the public on July 17, 1905. Designed in the Classical or Neoclassical Revival style—sometimes described as Beaux-Arts Classical—the building is widely attributed to prominent local architect Reuben Harrison Hunt, though this attribution remains somewhat debated. Built with a raised stone basement and upper floors of marble, it features grand columns flanking the main entrance and finely detailed classical ornamentation.

The Grateful Gobbler walk is a Thanksgiving family tradition for my family. We volunteer the week of and help with setup and handing out t-shirts and every Thanksgiving morning we head down to Collidge Park and walk the 5K. Registration is now open and the are looking for volunteer and runners/walkers.

A few months ago we were invited to take part in the Chattanooga Lookouts Topping Off Ceremony. They had the ceremony on the site of the new stadium and allowed invitees to sign one of the plate that will be installed in the new park. This was a huge honor to be a part of this group and we will forever be a part of the new Erlanger Park.

I get asked all the time where my favorite steak house is in Chattanooga. This is always a hard one for me because we have one that has been our favorite for a long time and a new favorite. There are a few new ones that are not on this list because we were not to impressed with either the food or the service but they may make it next year.

We have clients fly into town all the time and they ask for hotel recommendations and most prefer to stay in the Downtown Chattanooga area. These are not in any particular order since they are all so different but these are my top 3.

Is there a Top Golf in Chattanooga? Yes…..It is not the same Top Golf that you may be used to or that you have seen off the interstates driving through different cities. Top Golf Chattanooga is a one story complex next to Camp Jordan in East Ridge. It is located 10 minutes to Downtown Chattanooga and is at exit 1 on I-75 just before you cross the state line into Georgia.

The Chattanooga Market is a popular farmers market in Chattanooga, Tennessee, known for showcasing local produce, artisan goods, crafts, and food vendors. It's one of the largest markets in the region and operates as a vibrant community gathering place.

You know you want to look at Chattanooga homes in an active retirement community, but don't know which community or what type.  You want to choose an area where you'll find other people who have the same interests you do.  If you love golf, for example, you may want to look at Chattanooga homes in golf course communities.

The Chattanooga Football Club (CFC) is a semi-professional soccer team based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Established in 2009, it has gained a strong following and is known for its passionate fan base and community involvement. The team competes in the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA), which is a professional soccer league in the United States.

Chattanooga is located in Hamilton County, Tennessee, and therefore falls under the representation of Tennessee's senators in the United States Senate.

The cigar scene in Chattanooga is growing but unfortunately there are not a lot of great options for purchasing or to sit and enjoy a cigar in Chattanooga. I would love to see someone come into town and do a nice high end cigar club like you see in other markets. When I travel I have my favorite locations in most cities that I travel to but here are home there are not a lot of options.
