What are the best hotels in downtown Chattanooga?

We have clients fly into town all the time and they ask for hotel recommendations and most prefer to stay in the Downtown Chattanooga area. These are not in any particular order since they are all so different but these are my top 3.

  1. Edwin Hotel - This one has some great art throughout the hotel. it is located just above the Art museum and the Tennessee River. There is a large pedestrian bridge located just off the hotel and lots of great food within walking distance. There is also a great bar with amazing views in the hotel called Whiskey Thief and on a pretty day have an old fashioned and sit on the patio.

  2. Westin - Most locals know this building as the “Gold Building” this was the original office building for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee. When they build their new campus this building was purchased and turned into a hotel. It is located Downtown in the West Village. It is close to the interstate so it is very easy to get in and out. There are some great eating spots nearby as well. 423 Taco is one of our favorite taco spots.

  3. The Read House - Yes this one is haunted. you owe it to yourself even if you stay at another hotel to walk through this one. The history of this hotel is as old as any other building in Chattanooga. There is a great steak house located inside the Read House and another bar in the lobby.

There are great hotels in other parts of town and there are to many in downtown to list and it is always changing. There are 2 more being build downtown that wont even be open for another year.
