Sometimes It requires More Than Just A Sign
We were recently contacted by a past client that he had a client that needed some help selling a home. Turns out that the seller had recently lost her sister and the estate needed to sell the home. The seller does not live in Chattanooga and didn’t know a lot about the condition of the townhome. We went over did a visual inspection and gave her some recommendations to freshen up the landscaping and to declutter the home. We spend a number of hours in the home before photos helping to thin out some of the furniture and personal belongings to help with some light staging. Once we got the photos back everyone could tell that it was worth the time and by the weekend we already had a full price offer and a backup offer. This is our 4th home like this in the past few months where the seller does not live in town and needs help getting the home ready for the market. All most people see is the REALTOR putting a sign in the yard and putting a lockbox on the front door but there can me weeks and months of work to go into a house to get it ready for that sign. Not all agents have the time and/or money to help a seller get their home ready but that is why it is important to find a REALTOR that will help guild you on the work that needs to be done and has a team that they can bring in to help with the work.
It is truly a blessing to have committed, competent realtors in your corner when doing “out of state” transactions. Travis and Heather worked hand in hand with me every step of the way. Their market knowledge, good communication skills and advice on negotiating strategies were paramount to “closing the deal”. As well, their flexibility in meeting with potential clients and vendors to prep the property was very much appreciated.
Without hesitation, I can say, it was a pleasure working with you both. Much gratitude, Carol Friia
